About us: St James’s Hospital is Ireland’s largest acute academic teaching hospital and is based in Dublin’s south inner city. Our fundamental purpose is the delivery of health treatment, care and diagnosis as well as health promotion and preventative services at local, regional and national levels. Our academic partner is Trinity College Dublin.

Purpose of the role: The role of the Speech and Language Therapist is to be responsible for assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of treatment / interventions for patients presenting with communication and feeding, eating, drinking and swallowing difficulties. Caseloads may be allocated across all hospital settings, onsite and offsite . A panel will be formed from which temporary vacancies arising in the coming year will be filled.
