Purpose of the role: The role of the Antimicrobial Advanced Specialist pharmacist (ASP) is to promote safe, effective and appropriate prescribing of antimicrobials across the organisation. Working as part of the wider antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) team, the Antimicrobial ASP leads on and supports the development, delivery and implementation of antimicrobial initiatives and policies.
