About us: St James’s Hospital is Ireland’s largest acute academic teaching hospital and is based in Dublin’s south inner city. Our fundamental purpose is the delivery of health treatment, care and diagnosis as well as health promotion and preventative services at local, regional and national levels. Our academic partner is Trinity College Dublin.
Purpose of the role: The Senior Occupational Therapist will provide specialist clinical knowledge and expertise to assess and treat patients with burn injuries on the National Burns Unit, contributing to the delivery of high-quality occupational therapy across the acute and rehabilitation phases of burn care. The post holder will also contribute to service delivery within the wider plastics and orthopaedics hand therapy teams, in line with service needs.
This is a new post that will complement the existing resource and will join an expanded dedicated multidisciplinary team on the National Burns Unit.
